SJ T has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They currently work as an AI & Cybersecurity specialist at Dstl since June 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Scientist at DISARM Foundation starting from November 2021. They also founded Bodacea Light Industries in December 2018, focusing on disinformation mechanisms and counters. At Bodacea Light Industries, they advised companies on disinformation risk management and built research and tools for cognitive security operations centers.

SJ T has also worked as a Senior Fellow at Atlantic Council GeoTech Center from February 2020 to April 2022, and as a Lecturer at the University of Maryland from August 2021 to March 2022. They previously held the position of a Data Scientist at AppNexus from August 2017 to November 2018, where they optimized online advertising auctions and improved error rates and completion rates in advertising.

Furthermore, SJ T worked as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York from October 2013 to July 2018. They also served as the Director of Data Projects at The Credit Junction from November 2016 to July 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at ThoughtWorks from June 2015 to October 2016, focusing on data strategy, data science, data training, and data governance.

SJ T has also worked at Ushahidi, first as the Director of Data Projects from February 2014 to May 2015, and later as a Developer (contract) from September 2013 to January 2014.

SJ T attended the University of York from 1998 to 2002, where they studied Artificial Creativity. Prior to that, they were enrolled at Aston University from 1997 to 1998, pursuing a degree in MSc by Research with a focus on Pattern Analysis and Neural Networks. Their education journey started at Queen Mary University of London, where they obtained an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from 1990 to 1992.
