Vikki Neil

EVP, Global Brand, Content Marketing & Creative at Warner Bros. Discovery

Executive Vice President, Global Brand, Content Marketing & Creative, Discovery+. In her current role, Vikki leads the brand strategy, creative and content marketing of the company’s most significant move into the direct-to-consumer (DTC) space, discovery+. Immediately following the January 2021 US launch of d+, Neil’s purview increased as she was tapped to manage marketing of original content, and brand creative globally. Vikki has been a key member of the DTC leadership team and her marketing savvy and collaborative management style have helped each of the networks and international markets, including APAC, LATAM and Canada localize while also replicating the US launch success. In addition to her DTC responsibilities, Neil also currently oversees the corporate marketing, branded entertainment, and studios for Discovery Inc.

Prior to her discovery+ role, Neil managed Discovery’s Digital Studios Group, successfully leading the digital ad-supported businesses associated with some of the most popular linear brands, including Food Network, HGTV, and Travel Channel and generating incremental digital revenue and linear value. Vikki’s Digital Studios Group was an operating unit at the intersection of using deep experience in consumer strategy and creative development, meshed with an exceptional digital content experience. In this role, Neil was instrumental in establishing unique consumer offerings, bringing opportunities to direct-to-consumer, ad-sales clients, and building an infrastructure across multiple digital platforms that continues to reach hundreds of millions of consumers every month.

Neil previously spearheaded the launch and dramatic growth of Scripps Lifestyle Studios, establishing the digital division as a full-service programming and product unit that drove digital audience and innovation across TVE, social and digital sites.

Previously she worked for Disney’s media group for ESPN.com and ABCNews.com. Neil got her start in local media, building one of the first digital news teams for a local ABC station affiliate in Tampa. She also worked on creating the first generation of digital monetization for the St. Petersburg Times newspaper and the E.W. Scripps newspaper division.

She is a passionate advocate for working parents and DEI. She currently sits on the board of the Tennessee Entertainment Commission. Neil is a graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, Stanford’s Senior Executive Summit and Executive Management at Harvard. She holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from East Tennessee State University.
