Field Service Mechanic – Lafayette, IN

DISHER is partnering with a leading heavy equipment distributor in Indiana to fill a Field Service Mechanic position on their expanding team in Lafayette. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the organization, specializing in equipment repairs and troubleshooting at customer locations. This position will perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs as needed to keep equipment in good working order.

What you'll get to do:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures at job sites
• Rebuild, repair, and maintain equipment and components
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment malfunctions and failures
• Complete documents associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner
• Completely understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any piece of rental equipment

What will make you successful:

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical school certificate preferred
• 5+ years of technician, mechanic, or related, experience
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
• Experience working on various types of construction/heavy equipment
• Must have required shop hand tools
• Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license
• Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations.
