Jacob Hernandez-Sanchez, PhD, has an extensive background in robotics engineering and research. Jacob has worked as a Robotics Group Manager at Distalmotion, leading teams to develop control system algorithms for surgical robotics platforms. Prior to that, Jacob held positions at EPFL and Tohoku University, focusing on human-robot interaction, surgical robotics, space robotics, and electronics engineering. Jacob holds a Doctor of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees in related fields. Jacob has also received various awards for their innovative work in the field.
