Meghan Sexton's work experience includes serving as a Distributed Solar Development Engineer at DSD Renewables since September 2022. Previously, they worked as a Project Engineer at TRC Companies, Inc. from December 2020 to September 2022, where they conducted research, built energy models, and managed data for residential homes and energy storage projects. Before that, they served as an Energy Analyst at PL Energy from September 2020 to December 2020, focusing on improving energy efficiency based on on-site visits and utility/energy usage data. Meghan also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Lonza from July 2018 to June 2020, where they worked on operational excellence and reliability initiatives. Additionally, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Hollingsworth & Vose in 2016 and as an Engineering Aid at the U.S. Forest Service in 2015, assisting with road maintenance, construction, surveying projects, and firefighting.
Meghan Sexton completed their undergraduate education in Energy Systems Engineering at Oregon State University from 2014 to 2020. During their studies, they also had the opportunity to spend a year at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 2016-2017, where they focused on Energy Engineering as part of a study and research abroad program. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Building Science Principles from the Building Performance Institute, Inc. in December 2020.
