Michelle Van Enige, P.E.

Michelle Van Enige, P.E. has worked in the renewable energy and engineering industry for several years. Michelle is currently employed as a Project Engineer at DSD Renewables since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Velo Solar as a Senior Project Engineer from July 2019 to June 2023. In this role, they oversaw multiple rooftop installations, acted as a product manager for the PowerEnfo energy monitoring platform, and produced construction administration reports and production analysis for commercial clients.

Michelle also gained experience as an Electrical Engineer at Morrison Hershfield Corporation from November 2017 to June 2019. Their responsibilities included producing lighting and power designs, conducting short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, and participating in site surveys and factory witness tests.

Before joining Morrison Hershfield Corporation, Michelle worked as an Electrical Engineer at Syska Hennessy Group from January 2017 to November 2017. In this role, they generated power flow analysis reports, created photometric plans using Elumtools, Visual, and AGI software, and produced power and lighting designs in both AutoCAD and Revit.

Michelle's first entry into the industry was as a Co-op at Newcomb & Boyd from January 2015 to August 2016. During this time, they made design decisions for electrical and lighting fixture layouts, coordinated electrical requirements with other systems, and reviewed submittals and site visit documentation.

Michelle Van Enige, P.E. earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Michelle attended the institution from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they received an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies from St. Petersburg College, where they studied from 2010 to 2012.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Michelle has obtained the Professional Engineer certification from the Georgia Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in February 2021.
