Rita Xiques

Rita Xiques has a range of legal experience spanning over several years. Their most recent position was at dLocal, where they served as the Head of Legal starting in August 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Legal Counsel at the same company from September 2020 to August 2023. Before joining dLocal, Rita worked at ONTIER as a Legal professional from September 2018 to September 2020. Rita also worked at FERRERE Abogados as an Abogada from January 2017 to September 2017. In addition, Rita gained experience as a Legal Counsel at Altisource from August 2015 to November 2016 and as an Abogada at Jiménez de Aréchaga, Viana + Brause from June 2013 to August 2015.

Rita Xiques has a diverse education history. Rita obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business law from IE Law School in 2017-2018. Rita completed their undergraduate education in Abogacia (Law) at Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga' from 2008-2013. Rita then specialized in escribania, earning a degree as an escribana publica from the same university from 2013-2015. Rita later pursued a degree in Law (Grado en derecho) at Universidad Nebrija from 2019-2021. Prior to their higher education, Rita attended Uruguayan American School from 1994-2008. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from EAE Business School in 2018-2020. Rita also has a certification in Securities Law from Cornell University, obtained in the year 2023.
