Miia Taanila

Miia Taanila has a diverse work experience in various HR roles. Miia currently serves as the Head of People Experience and Operations at DNA Oyj where they lead a team of HR experts. Miia'smain focus is on enhancing the people experience and running HR operations in a customer-centric manner.

Prior to this, Miia held multiple roles at Metso, including Vice President, Talent and Engagement, and Director, Talent & Engagement. In these positions, they were responsible for leadership development, creating learning solutions, team development, change leadership, and employee engagement. Miia also served as the Director of Talent Management at Metso Automation, where they focused on talent pipeline processes, workforce planning, and competence development.

Before joining Metso, Miia worked at Rautaruukki Oyj/Ruukki Engineering, where they held various HRD and HR specialist roles. Miia also worked as a Development Specialist in Business Development.

Overall, Miia has a strong background in HR leadership and development, with a focus on enhancing people experience and running HR operations effectively.

Miia Taanila obtained a MSc in Business Administration from the University of Jyväskylä, which they completed between 1994 and 1999. Miia is currently pursuing a Postgraduate professional education in work and organizational psychology at Tampere University, which they began in 2022 and is expected to complete in 2024. Additionally, Miia has certifications as an Agile HR Certified Practitioner from the Agile HR Community and as a Systemic Business Coach from BoMentis Coaching House Oy, both obtained in 2018.
