Emanuele Cotroneo, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in scientific and research roles. Emanuele is currently working as a Scientific Director at dna Communications since November 2021. Prior to that, they were a Visiting Lecturer at the Centre for Host-Microbiome Interactions at King's College London starting from July 2021.
In terms of industry experience, they served as a Trustee at the Oral Health Foundation from October 2019 to September 2022. Emanuele also worked as a Scientific Affairs Manager NE at Colgate-Palmolive from May 2018 to November 2021 and as a Senior Medical Affairs Manager - UK at Danone Early Life Nutrition from August 2017 to May 2018. Earlier in their career, Cotroneo worked as an Account Manager at MediTech Media from June 2014 to July 2015. Emanuele also conducted research as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, focusing on the role of iron homeostasis in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
Additionally, they have experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Colgate-Palmolive / King's College London from March 2010 to April 2011 and as a Scientific Editor at BioMed Central from October 2009 to February 2010.
Dr. Emanuele Cotroneo completed their education in a chronological order, starting from 1999 to 2005 as they pursued a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Biology and Molecular Biology at Sapienza Università di Roma. Following this, they attended the Mendel Institute of Medical Genetics from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a Master's degree in Molecular Genetics. Finally, from 2006 to 2009, Dr. Cotroneo obtained a Ph.D. in Oral Biology from King's College London.
