Gareth Jones

Gareth Jones is a seasoned professional in the energy and resource management sector, currently serving as Principal Engineer at DNV since March 2020. Prior to this role, Gareth was Development Director at Severn Wye Energy Agency, focusing on strategic business development from January 2019 to February 2020. An independent energy consultant from September 2014 to December 2018, Gareth specialized in community renewable energy projects and sustainability planning. Previously, as Director of Energy and Resource Management at Verco from January 2001 to September 2014, Gareth directed UK operations related to energy, water, carbon, and resources management. Earlier experience includes serving as Development Manager at the Centre for Sustainable Energy from June 1996 to March 2000. Gareth holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
