Carmen Malone

Carmen Malone is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in audit and financial management, currently serving as the Assistant Inspector General and previously as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audit at the DoD Inspector General since 2001. In this role, Carmen oversees a large Directorate, managing numerous financial statement audit contracts and guiding the development and performance of audit operations. With a strong background in project management, Carmen has successfully led various performance and financial audits and has a track record of improving operational efficiency. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Associate at PwC, where Carmen worked on multiple audits for publicly traded companies, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Carmen holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
