Albert Wu is the VP and Chief Medical Officer at Dollar General. Albert was previously an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from September 2016 to May 2021. While at McKinsey, Albert led consulting teams working with large hospital systems to undergo enterprise transformations and turnarounds. Albert also created a total cost of care model for a set of rural healthcare providers covering 250K lives and $2B in healthcare spend. In addition, Albert designed a digitally-driven payer-provider product targeting 4 million members in initial test markets. Prior to McKinsey, Albert was an Anesthesiology Resident at Brigham and Women's Hospital from July 2013 to August 2016. Albert was also the Chief Transitional Year Resident at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System from June 2012 to June 2013. Albert began their career as a Clinical Research Training Fellow at the National Institutes of Health from August 2010 to August 2011.

Albert Wu completed their undergraduate studies at Harvard University, where they majored in biochemical sciences. Albert then attended the University of Michigan Medical School and earned their doctor of medicine degree.
