Darrin Kabel

Darrin Kabel has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering, particularly in the marine technology and navigation industry. Darrin is currently serving as the Principal Engineer at Dometic since August 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Airmar Technology Corporation from March 2019 to March 2021.

Darrin spent a significant portion of their career at Garmin International, where they held various roles. From October 2017 to January 2019, they served as a Software Engineering Manager. Before that, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer from July 2015 to October 2017. Darrin also held positions such as Associate Director of Marine Maps and Technology, Principal Engineer, Associate Director of Marine Engineering, Software Engineering Manager, Software Engineering Team Leader, and Software Engineer. Their tenure at Garmin spanned from March 1993 to July 2015.

Darrin Kabel attended the Missouri University of Science and Technology from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics (BSEE). Darrin obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Mountain Goat Software in December 2021.
