Kristal Kaye

Kristal Kaye has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kristal currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the Arctic Canadian Diamond Company Ltd., a position they have held since May 2018. Prior to this, Kristal held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Husky Midstream from April 2016 to May 2018, where they oversaw the financial aspects of a $2.7 billion joint venture. Kristal also worked at Husky Energy from November 2011 to April 2016, serving as the Director of Special Projects Treasury and later as the Corporate Accounting and Reporting Controller.

Before joining Husky Energy, Kristal held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Paragon Pharmacies Limited from July 2008 to November 2011. In this role, they managed various departments and participated in strategic planning and growth initiatives. Prior to that, Kristal was the Corporate Controller at Great Western Diamonds, where they managed public company reporting and finance offerings from 2005 to 2008.

Kristal began their career at Diavik Diamond Mines Inc., where they served as the Manager of Accounting from January 2004 to November 2005. Kristal also gained prior experience working as a Budgets and Planning Analyst, Operations Analyst, and General Accountant in various roles.

Additionally, Kristal has held leadership roles outside of their primary positions. Kristal currently serves as the Executive Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Natural Diamond Council since February 2021, and they previously held the position of Manager, Accounting at Diavik Diamond Mines Inc.

Kristal Kaye's education history begins in 2001 when they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Business Administration. During this time, they also obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant designation.

In 2004, Kristal Kaye pursued further education at Laurentian University, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management.

Continuing their commitment to professional development, they attended the Institute of Corporate Directors and ICD-Rotman, both of which they completed in 2018. The former granted their the ICD.D designation, while the latter was a Directors Education Program.
