Ashley Leach

Research Associate at Dose Therapeutics

Ashley Leach is a Research Associate with over 7 years of experience in the biomedical research field.

She was a research technician in the Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern for over 6 years, where she helped further hematopoietic stem cells research projects focused on better understanding the mechanisms that sustain self-renewing divisions, and how cancers emerge from the incorrect activation of these self-renewal mechanisms. In addition, she worked on studies related to melanoma metastasis and identifying metabolic changes that enhance oxidative stress resistance to help develop

potential pro-oxidant therapies that inhibit cancer progression by amplifying the oxidative stress experienced by cancer cells.

Ashley also worked in The Center for the Genetics of Host Defense at UT Southwestern where she assisted in mouse phenotypic screens to identify genes that support correct functioning of the immune system, metabolism, and the nervous system.

Ashley received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas in 2013.
