Michael Barker

Michael Barker has more than 30 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Michael began their career at TCI Cable in the SF Bay Area in 1989, working in various roles for almost a decade. Michael then joined AT&T Broadband as an Advanced Services Project Manager and later became a Network Supervisor. In 2001, they joined Comcast as a System Engineer and later held positions as a Senior Manager of Technical Operations and Regional Director of Engineering and Construction. In 2008, they moved to Bresnan Communications as a Technical Operations Supervisor before joining Suddenlink Communications as a Technical Operations Manager II in 2010. Michael then worked at Charter Communications as a Technical Operations Manager until 2014, when they became the Director of Operations at Grande Communications Networks LLC. In 2017, they joined Vyve Broadband as a Technical Operations Manager in Wyoming and in 2019, they became the Director of Technical Operations at Hiawatha Broadband Communications, Inc.

Michael Barker has a varied education history. In 1998, they completed a Master Technician program at NCTI, Inc. Then, in 2000, they obtained a Basic Electronics Certification from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Following this, in 2005 and 2006, they pursued Broadband Technical Management Certificates, first from Arapahoe Community College and then from the same institution again. Finally, from 2007 to 2008, Michael attended the University of Phoenix, studying Business Management.
