Stefany Angarita Gomez

Stefany Angarita Gomez, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Specialist at Dow since September 2022, with prior experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from October 2016 to August 2022. During this tenure, Stefany modeled and predicted the electronic and thermodynamic properties related to rechargeable batteries and conducted research on the optical properties of silicon anodes for Li-ion batteries, contributing to an NSF research proposal. Earlier experiences include developing software for fault detection as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University and serving as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Universidad Industrial de Santander. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
