Toby Swope has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Underwriting Assistant at Sinclair-Dwyer Insurance until 2002. From 2002 to 2003, they served as a Fundraising and Training Specialist at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Then, from 2003 to 2005, they were an Intern at the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE). In 2005, they became an Industrial Efficiency Intern at the Alliance to Save Energy, where they provided research and support for energy efficiency programs. In 2006, they joined the World Wildlife Fund as a Reporting Officer. In 2007, they started their tenure at D+R International, initially as a Senior Market Analyst, providing market research and analysis. Toby then progressed to become a Project Manager, leading teams and managing a portfolio of projects. From 2014 to the present, Toby has held the role of Senior Program Manager of Industry Groups at D+R International, where they lead client engagements and project design. Recently, in 2021, they also took on the position of Senior Director of Business Operations/Project Management Office, overseeing administrative management and operational infrastructure improvements.
Toby Swope completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from UCLA between 1994 and 1999. Toby later pursued a Master's Degree in Global Environmental Policy from the American University School of International Service from 2003 to 2005.
