Clare Forbes

Clare Forbes has a strong background in technology and IT management. Clare is currently serving as the Head of Technology EMEA at Dr. Martens plc since July 2022. Before that, they held the position of Head of IT EMEA & Global Service Manager at the same company from October 2020 to September 2022. Prior to joining Dr. Martens, Clare worked as the Head of Technology - Optics at Specsavers from 2018 to 2020. Clare also served as the Director of Information Technology at GTB from 2016 to 2018, where they established a pan European IT infrastructure. Clare's experience also includes roles at Visa Europe, where they held positions such as Deputy Director & Corporate IT Business Partner, Technical IT Design Practice Manager, and Technical Programme Manager from 2011 to 2016. Clare began their career at Hampshire County Council, where they held various roles including Office Applications & Platforms Manager and Corporate Applications Manager. Throughout their career, Clare has demonstrated expertise in strategy development, project management, and team leadership.

Clare Forbes attended Royal Holloway, University of London from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ancient & Medieval History. Clare then pursued further education at the same institution from 2000 to 2001, earning a Master's degree in Medieval Studies.
