Laura Shell

Laura Shell serves as the Strategic Director for Student Retention & Success and an Instructor at Drake University since March 2021. In this role, Laura has taught seminars and coached students on various topics to enhance their academic commitment and well-being. Previously, Laura held positions at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where Laura developed collaborative well-being programs and coordinated suicide prevention initiatives, and at Penn State University, where Laura supervised residence life operations and supported student success through academic advising. Laura's foundational experience includes roles at Simpson College and other institutions, complemented by academic qualifications, including a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Penn State University and an MA in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
