Preeti Modgil

Preeti Modgil has extensive work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Preeti began their career as a Supply Chain/Simulation Engineer at Eastman Kodak Company in 1999. Preeti then moved on to Wyndham Worldwide, where they held various roles, including Lead Operations Research Analyst, Analytical Systems Architect, Manager of Decision Technologies, Manager of Analytics, and Director of Data Science and Analytics.

In 2018, they joined Modus Scientific, LLC as a Data Science Consultant before joining Slalom in 2019 as a Senior Principal. Preeti later joined Shopify in 2021 as a Data Science Lead before transitioning to their current role as Senior Director of Data Science at DreamBox Learning in 2022.

Preeti Modgil has a strong educational background in the field of mathematics and operations research. Preeti obtained their B.S. in Computational Mathematics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Preeti then pursued further education, earning an M.S. in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1998 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Preeti Modgil has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Preeti achieved certification in Intermediate R from DataCamp in November 2017, followed by certification in Introduction to R from the same institution in September 2017. Furthermore, they hold the distinction of being a Certified Analytics Professional, awarded by the Analytics Certification Board in October 2016. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of data analytics and programming.
