Zachary Benet

Zachary Benet is an experienced scientist with a strong background in immunology and a focus on antibody development and T cell biology. Currently serving as Senior Scientist 2 at Dren Bio, Inc. since April 2025, Zachary previously held the role of Senior Scientist II at Allakos Inc., where leadership of discovery programs targeted mast cells and optimized checkpoint inhibitors. Prior to that, Zachary worked at Albert Einstein College of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Fellow, pioneering research on antibody-secreting plasma cells, which led to significant publications. Zachary's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Early research experience includes contributions at the National Institutes of Health and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on high-content imaging screens and pathogenicity assessments.
