Rob McCann

Rob McCann has over 14 years of diverse work experience in various technology roles. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at Dressipi since January 2022. In their previous role at Zoopla, where they worked from November 2020 to January 2022 as an Engineering Manager II, they successfully led a team in converting performance reports from legacy perl to big data technologies, resulting in reduced costs and improved maintainability. During this time, they also achieved a significant reduction in data ingestion times and improved the primary frontend CI/CD pipeline execution by 40%. Before Zoopla, Rob worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at Capital One, where they led multiple teams in building end-to-end features and contributed to key compliance initiatives, resulting in financial savings and improved employee satisfaction. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager and Lead Frontend Engineer at Schibsted Media Group, overseeing cross-functional teams, system design, and GDPR compliance for advertising products. Rob started their career as a Software Engineer at Yahoo, specializing in front-end development, and also worked as a Web Developer at Five by Five and Lead Web Developer at Carswell Gould. Rob began their professional journey as a Web Technician at Southampton University Students' Union.

Rob McCann has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, which they completed in the year 2010. Prior to their university education, Rob attended Farnborough Sixth Form College, where they studied Maths, Physics, and Computing at the A2 level. In addition to their formal education, Rob obtained a certification in Mental Health First Aid in March 2018.
