Stephen Pettross has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Stephen began their career in the US Air Force in 1987, serving as an intel ops specialist, weather forecaster, and later as a C130J loadmaster. During their time in the Air Force, they gained expertise in the field and served until 2013.

After leaving the military, Stephen worked in the food and beverage/gaming industry from 1999 to 2005 as an assistant food and beverage manager. Stephen then transitioned to the transportation industry, working at Atlas Van Lines Corporate Office as a southeast to western region dispatcher from 1995 to 1998.

Stephen's most recent positions have been in the education and aviation sectors. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at Lockheed Martin as a lead C130J loadmaster instructor, where they trained company personnel, conducted new employee orientations, and provided instructional guidance. Since 2015, Stephen has been employed at Delaware Resource Group as a lead C130J certified contract academic instructor/evaluator. In this role, they assist the regional site manager with instructional policy development, administers instructor training and evaluations, and implements policies for contracted instructors at Dyess AFB.

Stephen continued their studies at Colorado Technical University from 2015 to 2016, achieving a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Project Management/ Human Resource Management.
