Shubham Makharia

Shubham Makharia has four years of work experience in the field of data science. In 2022, they joined Driver Technologies Inc. as a Data Scientist. In 2020, they began working at Prismia.Chat as an Algorithms/Front End Developer, where they focused on implementation of clustering algorithms and machine learning models towards building a virtual classroom assistant. Shubham preprocessed data using React Developer Tools, implemented models in Python and JavaScript, and developed performance analyses between competing supervised algorithms and unsupervised learning methods. In the same year, they also worked at Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) as a Researcher. In 2019, they worked at Brown University as a Researcher, where they performed novel chemical synthesis of materials and conducted XRD analysis to classify the quantum mechanical properties of certain prevalent compounds relative to each other. Shubham also created a lab manual for the synthesis of high temperature superconductor YBCO for use in undergraduate physics curriculum.

Shubham Makharia attended Brown University from 2017 to 2021, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in May 2021. Shubham then continued their studies at Brown University, earning a Master of Science in Data Science in 2022.
