Matt Shaw

Matt Shaw has extensive work experience in the field of human resources and people management. Matt currently serves as the Chief People Officer at Mast Reforestation since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Climate LLC for 8 years, holding various roles such as Chief People Officer and Human Resources Business Partner. Before joining Climate LLC, Matt worked at Microsoft for a significant period of time, starting in 1998. At Microsoft, they held roles such as Global PhD Program Owner, Business Manager, Senior HR Manager, Talent Planning Consultant, Human Resources Project Manager, Sr Internal Staffing Specialist, and Sr Technical Recruiter. In their different roles, Matt was responsible for managing business and team operations, implementing performance review processes, supporting various teams in their HR needs, developing business management systems and implementation frameworks, streamlining policies, coaching employees, and increasing hiring from targeted universities. Their work experience spans across both corporate and research and development sectors.

Matt Shaw holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations from Colgate University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications, including the WBCSD Sustainability Leadership Program Graduate from WBCSD - World Business Council for Sustainable Development in 2019, Leading Across the Enterprise Application Coach from Microsoft in 2014, Stakeholder Centered Coaching from Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching in 2010, and 16PF in 2006.
