Jeannette Zanipatin

California State Director at Drug Policy Alliance

Jeannette Zanipatin has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jeannette began their career as a Staff Attorney at the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in 1997 and stayed in that role until 2001. Following this, they joined La Raza Centro Legal as a Supervising Staff Attorney for a brief period of one year. In 2002, they became a Statewide Policy Analyst at the CALIFORNIA IMMIGRANT POLICY CENTER, where they worked until 2006. Jeannette then moved on to become the Policy Director at the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence from 2006 to 2008. Jeannette then ventured into their own consulting business, Zanipatin Consulting, where they served as an Attorney and Policy Consultant from 2008 to 2010. Their career continued at MALDEF - Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, where they held the position of Legislative Staff Attorney from 2010 to 2018. Jeannette is currently working as the California State Director at the Drug Policy Alliance, a role they have held since December 2018.

Jeannette Zanipatin obtained a B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Jeannette then pursued a Juris Doctorate degree in Law at the Seattle University School of Law. However, no specific start or end years were provided for their education at these institutions.
