Niranjana Kowlessar

Niranjana Kowlessar began their work experience in 2000 as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Health Research and Policy. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Researcher at Truven Health Analytics. In 2012, they joined Social & Scientific Systems, Inc. as a Senior Research Scientist, where they led projects for federal and state government agencies and conducted research in health expenditures and access/utilization. In 2021, they worked as a Senior Staff Associate at Econometrica, Inc. and is currently serving as the Vice President of Public Health & Data Analytics at DSFederal.

Niranjana Kowlessar completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Knox College, where they studied from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they attended St. Xavier's College from 1995 to 1997, although the specific degree earned during that time is unknown. Continuing their education, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Illinois Chicago, graduating in 2003. Later, they obtained a PhD in Health Policy and Administration from the same university, completing their studies in 2009.
