Hayden Sortwell

Hayden Sortwell has extensive experience in nuclear operations, currently serving as Supervisor of Nuclear Operations Training at DTE Energy since July 2022, with previous roles including Nuclear Operator Program Lead and Senior Nuclear Instructor. Prior to DTE Energy, Hayden worked at Entergy from June 2014 to July 2022 as a Nuclear Plant Operator and Nuclear Security Officer, focusing on the control and monitoring of nuclear reactor systems. Prior military service includes a leadership position as Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Leader in the Army National Guard and as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist in the US Army, where Hayden managed valuable equipment and inventory during combat operations. Earlier experience includes HVAC technical work at Bob Jones University. Educational background includes studies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bob Jones University and a high school diploma from Pilgrim Heritage High School.
