Alex Toftgaard Nielsen

Alex Toftgaard Nielsen is a Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, with a research focus on the production of biochemicals in bacterial host organisms since September 2011. As a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Cysbio and co-founder at mycropt, along with advisory roles at ENZIDIA and Again, Alex is actively involved in several biotechnology ventures. Previous experience includes positions as Scientist II at Genencor International and postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. Alex holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and Microbiology from the Technical University of Denmark, completed in 1997.
