William Johnson

William Johnson has a diverse work experience, primarily in the non-profit sector. William started their career in 2006 with Ducks Unlimited, where they served as a Regional Director, overseeing 25 chapters and establishing nine new ones. During their tenure, they recruited and trained over 75 new volunteers and created a net income of over $191,000. William later became a Regional Director, overseeing 60 chapters and facilitating regional expansion through new chapter and event development. William increased net fundraising dollars by over $75,000 in existing chapter events. In 2011, they transitioned to the role of National Manager of Grassroots Promotion & Event Support, where they supervised the Event Support Specialist staff and oversaw the direction of DU Youth & Education programs. In 2014, they joined the National Rifle Association as an Advancement Officer, building positive relationships with major and planned gift prospects and donors. Since 2018, William has been serving as the Managing Director of Development at Ducks Unlimited, responsible for recruitment, cultivation, stewardship, and management of major donor relationships. During their time in this role, they have generated over $1 million in cash gifts and long-term commitments.

From 2001 to 2005, William Johnson attended the University of South Carolina, where they pursued a Dual Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing.
