Kirstan Lane

Kirstan Lane has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Kirstan began their career in 2007 as a Bartender at Rapscallions and later worked as a Bartender at Shells Seafood Restaurant Inc from 2012 to 2014. In 2013, they served as a Conservation Co-op at Tampa Bay Water. Kirstan then transitioned to the field of environmental conservation, working as a Data Entry Operator at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in 2014. Kirstan was promoted to the role of Environmental Specialist I and II, where they gained experience in environmental resource permitting and compliance inspection. In 2017, they joined USIC as a GIS Technician before joining Duke Energy Corporation in 2018. At Duke Energy Corporation, Kirstan has held positions such as GIS Technologist, GIS Technologist II, GIS Data Analyst, Sr. GIS Analyst, and currently serves as the Lead GIS Analyst. Their work primarily involves analyzing and managing GIS data. Kirstan's work experience demonstrates their versatility and growth in the field of GIS and environmental conservation.

Kirstan Lane completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science at the University of South Florida from 2009 to 2013. After that, they attended Hillsborough Community College from 2017 to 2019 as a non-degree seeking student. Prior to their university education, Kirstan Lane attended Land O Lakes High School from 2006 to 2009, although they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained CPR & First Aid certification from the Red Cross & Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection in May 2016. Kirstan also holds certifications in Florida Stormwater Inspector (obtained in September 2015), Florida Skin-Diving (obtained in July 2015), and 24 hr Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) (obtained in May 2015).
