Marty Baltzegar

Marty Baltzegar, PE, LEED AP has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Marty currently serves as the Director of Business Recruitment at Duke Energy Corporation since 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President at S&ME, Inc. from 2001 to 2021. Marty also worked as a Project Manager at the S.C. Department of Commerce from 1995 to 2001 and as a Quality Manager at Michelin Tire Corporation from 1992 to 1995.

Marty Baltzegar, PE, LEED AP has a strong educational background in both engineering and business. Marty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of South Carolina, where they studied from 1983 to 1988. Marty furthered their education by obtaining an MBA from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, specializing in Marketing, Management, and Finance, from 1990 to 1992.

In addition to their academic achievements, Marty has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Marty obtained the LEED AP certification from the US Green Building Council in April 2005, demonstrating their expertise in sustainable building design and construction. Furthermore, Marty acquired the South Carolina Professional Engineer certification from the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Registration in January 2003, demonstrating their competence in professional engineering.
