Navya Belavadi

Blue Devil Buddies Co-president at Duke Student Government

Navya Belavadi has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2018 as a News Editor for The Guilfordian, Navya later moved on to become an Associate Editor and News Writer for The Chronicle in 2020. In 2021, Navya took on positions as a Research Intern at the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke University and as Production & PR for The Standard at Duke University.

In 2022, Navya had multiple roles, including Business Development Analyst at Duke Impact Investing Group, Venture Capital Extern at HP Tech Ventures, and an incoming Summer Associate at L.E.K. Consulting. Navya also became involved in the Scale and Coin Business Society, where they held positions as a Member, Social Chair, and currently as the Vice President Social. Finally, Navya has also been active in the Duke Student Government, serving as a Senator of Academic Affairs and currently as the Co-President of Blue Devil Buddies.

Overall, Navya brings a well-rounded skill set and a passion for various industries, including consulting, finance, journalism, and social organizations.

Navya Belavadi completed their high school education at Early College at Guilford from 2016 to 2020, earning a High School Diploma. Navya then pursued a dual enrollment program at Guilford College from 2018 to 2020. Currently, Navya is attending Duke University, where they started in 2020 and is expected to graduate in 2024. At Duke, they are pursuing a degree in Economics (BS) and Psychology, along with certificates in Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Decision Sciences.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Navya has obtained certifications in Startup School from Y Combinator in August 2022 and in Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence from Duke University in January 2021.
