Alex Nghiem

Alex Nghiem has a diverse work experience, starting with a role as a Software Engineer at Duolingo since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft in 2021. In 2020, they also interned at Microsoft, focusing on front-end development and working on projects involving Azure and React. Before their internships, Alex worked as a Grader/Tutor at Harvey Mudd College, tutoring and grading assignments for CS students. Alex also worked as a Call Center Agent at the Harvey Mudd College Homework Hotline, answering science and math questions from students. In 2019, Alex was a Research Intern at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where they worked on data science and statistics research. Alex also gained teaching experience as a Teacher/Manager at Coding With Kids, teaching game development classes to students of different ages and managing classroom challenges.

Alex Nghiem obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College between the years 2018 and 2022. Prior to attending Harvey Mudd College, Alex attended Lakeside School from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, Alex also briefly attended the University of Washington from 2015 to 2017, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during that time.
