Rafael Chaves Santos

Rafael Chaves is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability and strategic roles within the energy sector. Currently serving as a non-executive Board Member at both dss⁺ (since November 2023) and Accenture's Global Energy Board (since January 2021), Rafael has also contributed to educational excellence as a Professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas since October 2014. Previously, Rafael held leadership positions including Diretor Executivo de Sustentabilidade e Relações Institucionais at Petrobras (January 2019 - March 2023), Chairman of Transpetro (March 2020 - December 2021), and Chairman of TBG (January 2019 - December 2019). Rafael's academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from FGV EPGE and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
