Joy Malone

Joy Malone is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Executive Director of Information Technology at Durham Public Schools since February 2021. Previously, Joy held the position of Global Technology Service Delivery Leader at Enviva from November 2018 to February 2021 and was the Head of IT Americas at GKN Automotive from October 2015 to November 2018. Joy's extensive background also includes roles as a Senior IT Business Consultant at Louis Dreyfus Commodities and various positions at Cargill, including Business Operations Manager and IT Risk Control Supervisor. Joy began the IT career at Cargill through the IT Talent Development Program, assuming roles in infrastructure support and security. Joy's early professional experience includes a sales and marketing internship at The Valspar Corporation. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
