Ben Lawson has had a long and varied career in engineering. Ben began their career in 2007 as a Staff Engineer at Schafer Corporation - Livermore Laboratory. In 2011, they moved to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Precision Engineer. In 2014, they joined Apple as a Manufacturing Design Engineer. In 2016, they moved to Cambridge Consultants as a Principal Mechanical Engineer and Director of Mechanical Engineering for Boston Medical Technologies Division. In 2019, they joined Neuralink as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Currently, they are employed at DUST Identity as a Principal Engineer, Head of Hardware and Materials, and Head of Mechanical Engineering.
Ben Lawson completed a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University between 2004 and 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 1998 to 2003.
