David Cotten

David Cotten has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. David began their career as an Animal Services Assistant at the City of Farmers Branch, then moved on to become a Code Enforcement Officer and Animal Services Officer. In 2018, they joined Masergy as a Software Developer, where they prototyped, developed, documented, and maintained web applications, automation tools, microservices, and bots across Billing, Finance, NetEng, HR, and IT departments. David also rewrote, documented, and maintained outdated/obfuscated scripts and utilities, and created and maintained integrations between Finance, HR, and IT systems. In 2021, they joined DUST Identity as a Software Engineer.

David Cotten obtained an Associate of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dallas College. David also holds an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in June 2021.
