Heikki Turunen

Heikki is a seasoned molecular biologist with 8 years of academic and industry experience working with AAV vector development and clinical gene therapy approaches. He earned his MSc and PhD in genetics in University of Turku, Finland. As a postdoc in Dr. Luk Vandenberghe's laboratory at Harvard Medical School he developed CombiAA, a cloning method to generate AAV variant libraries. He's also specialized in studying immunological responses against AAVs. In his spare time, he enjoys games, mosh píts and science fiction.
