Denise Klahr has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Denise began their career in 2000 at Lausch's Moving & Storage, Inc., where they served as the Director of Corporate Operations and later as the Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. During their time at Lausch's, Denise managed a team of 12-18 individuals and contributed to an improved gross revenue of over 100%. Denise'sresponsibilities included business and office management, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, human resources, and legal compliance.
In 2012, Denise became the Owner of Pasko Properties, LLC, where they oversaw the daily operations of the company until 2019. Additionally, they founded and served as the President of Berks T1D Connection starting in 2013.
Denise's passion for emergency services led their to join the Western Berks Fire Department in 2019 as an Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Behavioral Health Responder. Denise also volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Western Berks Ambulance Association starting in 2022. Furthermore, they served as a Chaplain for Keystone Fire Co 1 of Shillington, PA from June 2020 to October 2020.
Denise has been actively involved in their community, serving as a School Board Member for CONRAD WEISER AREA SD since March 2020. Denise also joined the County of Berks in the same year to work as part of the Disaster Crisis Outreach Response Team (DCORT).
Outside of their professional endeavors, Denise has been dedicated to the American Cancer Society. Denise participated in the Relay For Life of Western Berks Committee from 2008 to 2013 and served on the Relay Advisory Team from 2011 to 2012.
Denise Klahr's education history is as follows:
Denise attended Alvernia University from 2012 to 2013, during which they participated in the Leadership Berks Program. Denise then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Liberal Studies/Business at Alvernia University from 2001 to 2003.
Prior to their time at Alvernia University, Denise obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Public Relations and Psychology from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Denise completed their undergraduate education from 1994 to 1998.
In addition to their formal education, Denise has also obtained various certifications. In 2015, they became HIPAA Certified, Non-Clinical/Business Associate through BridgeFront. More recently, in 2021, they obtained certifications such as Hazardous Materials Awareness Level and Vehicle Technical Rescuer Awareness and Operations Level from Bucks County Community College. Denise also earned certifications in Critical Incident Stress Management from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in 2021. Moreover, they have received certifications related to firefighting including Interior Firefighter: No Live Fire, Exterior Firefighter, Fire Ground Support, and Introduction to the Fire Service from Bucks County Community College and the Department of Public Safety Training and Certification between 2020 and 2021.
