Research Lead at Earthly

Banashree Thapa has a diverse work experience. In 2015, they worked as a Research Intern at Tezpur University. In 2017, they had two roles at the World Wildlife Fund as a Zone Head from January to March and as a Project Intern from August to October. In 2020, they were a Changemaker at the 8one Foundation, where they participated in a fellowship focused on addressing unconscious biases. In 2021, they worked as an Intern at Earthly and in 2022, they joined Project EduAccess as a Mentor. Project EduAccess is a non-profit initiative aimed at improving access to higher education for marginalized communities in South Asia.

Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Botany at Delhi University, which they completed between 2017 and 2019. In 2018 and 2019, they obtained a Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy from National Law University, Delhi. Banashree'smost recent educational achievement is a Master's degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford, which they completed in 2021.
