W. Michael Kochemba has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry. W. Michael started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Westminster College in 2007 before becoming a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the National Science Foundation in 2008. In 2009, they joined the University of Tennessee as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they focused on the control of morphology in polymer blends for organic photovoltaic and semiconductor applications. W. Michael also gained expertise in materials characterization techniques. From 2009 to 2013, Kochemba was a Graduate Student (Facility User) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they worked on modifying the surface of semiconductor quantum dots and synthesizing polymers. W. Michael then joined Eastman in 2013, where they held multiple positions including Advanced Research Chemist, Senior Research Chemist, and currently serves as a Principal Researcher.
W. Michael Kochemba obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Westminster College (PA) in 2009. W. Michael later completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville between 2009 and 2013.
