Prior to that, they held the position of Head of IT Strategy & Project Management Department at Bank Muamalat.

Noor ShahrulNizam also served as an Associate Director of Digital & Strategic Projects in the Transaction Banking department.

In addition, they have experience in leading teams and managing projects. At Maybank Kim Eng Securities, they were the Head of Regional Application Development & Implementation, overseeing critical projects across Maybank Investment and Maybank Kim Eng. Noor ShahrulNizam also worked as a Project Manager at Maybank, responsible for the Regional Cash Management project.

Before joining Maybank, Noor ShahrulNizam Saripin worked at Hong Leong Bank Berhad as an IT Project Manager, where they successfully delivered projects and managed the Trade Finance and Payment workstream for the bank's merger.

Their early career included working as a Consultant at Accenture, where they were involved in a regional core banking replacement project for CIMB Bank. Noor ShahrulNizam also worked at Infopro Sdn Bhd as a Senior Systems Consultant, leading the Infopro Retail department and providing support and implementation activities for core banking systems.

Noor ShahrulNizam Saripin started their career as a Software Engineer at Silverlake System Sdn Bhd. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in digital transformation, project management, and IT strategy.

Noor ShahrulNizam Saripin obtained a Bachelor of Science (Bsc Hons) degree in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in the years 2000 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology at Universiti Teknologi MARA from 2020 to 2022. In addition, they received a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in January 2016.
