A Daniel Galo has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles in different companies. Starting in 1996, they worked as an Engineer for Insight Technical Solutions, Inc. until 2011. During this time, they gained experience in control system startup/commissioning, automation systems validation, and systems validation specialist roles.
In 2003, they worked as a DCS Systems & Programming Engineer for AkzoNobel Ft Amanda Specialty Chemicals, where they contributed to the integration of a new production line. A Daniel also served as a Systems Validation Specialist for Mallinckrodt/Tyco Healthcare, developing standardized gap assessment documents and procedures.
From 2004 to 2005, Galo worked as a Sr. Project Engineer - Instrumentation for Black & Veatch, overseeing instrumentation and control system interests for the AGIP-KCO Kazakhstan North Caspian Refinery Project.
In 2005, they joined Genentech as an Automation Systems Validation Engineer/Specialist, providing computer qualification support for the Honeywell Experion DCS and associated PLC sub-system skids.
From 2007 to 2008, Galo worked for Shaw Engineering - Power Group as a DCS Lead Startup/Commissioning Engineer, where they supervised the final phases of the DCS and I&C startup/commissioning for a coal-fired power plant retrofit.
In 2008, they joined ETEC Industrial Services, LLC - ARPA Lamar Repowering Project as a Control System Startup/Commissioning Engineer, developing and implementing a recovery startup/commissioning plan.
In 2010, Galo worked as a Control System Engineer for Pinova Corp., Resident Engineering Group, where they performed evaluations and assessments of existing process controls in preparation for migration to a new distributed control system.
From 2011 to 2013, they served as a Principal Engineer - Controls and Instrumentation for Bechtel-Parsons Blue Grass Chemical Agent Destruction Pilot Plant, contributing to the design of the joint venture project.
Currently, Galo is a Senior Systems Engineer - Instrumentation, Controls, Electrical at Echogen Power Systems, where they are involved in the development of waste heat recovery systems. A Daniel has played a key role in establishing documentation protocols and tracking systems for instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment.
A Daniel Galo began their education at Cuyahoga Community College in 1969, where they pursued an Associate's Degree in Arts - History. A Daniel later continued their studies at the same institution from 1970 to 1972, completing an Associate's Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering Technology. Additionally, from 1970 to 1974, they attended Fenn College of Engineering, Cleveland State University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
