Dan Pugh

Dan Pugh has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Dan is currently working as the VP, Associate General Counsel - Securities & Corporate at EchoStar Corporation since 2023. From 2016 to 2023, they served as the Chief Legal and Risk Officer, Secretary at GSE Systems. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2016, they were the General Counsel, Compliance & Risk Management Officer at ANCILE Solutions, Inc. In addition, they also served as a Member of the Board of Advisors at 40billion.com from 2011 to 2012 and as the Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary from 2010 to 2010. Before that, from 2008 to 2010, they worked as the Founder and Consultant at DWP Consulting and as a Consultant at Silver Point Capital from 2008 to 2009. Dan also served as the General Counsel at Synthetic Genomics, Inc. from 2006 to 2008, and as a Senior Attorney at Arbitron Inc. from 2003 to 2006. Dan started their career as Of Counsel at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP from 2001 to 2003 and as the Vice President and Deputy Chief Counsel at Prism Communication Services, Inc. from 1998 to 2001.

Dan Pugh's education history includes earning an MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2006 to 2008. Before that, they obtained a JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, studying from 1991 to 1994. Their undergraduate degree is an SB in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed between 1984 and 1989.

In addition to their formal education, Dan Pugh also has several certifications. Furthermore, they are a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Maryland Bar, having obtained these qualifications in June 1996 and December 1994, respectively.
