Cadhla Firth is a highly experienced research scientist and program coordinator currently employed at EcoHealth Alliance since February 2021. In addition to this role, Cadhla serves as adjunct faculty and a HOT NORTH Career Development Fellow at James Cook University. Prior to these positions, Cadhla held the title of DECRA Fellow at the University of Melbourne, worked as a research scientist at CSIRO, and served at Columbia University Medical Center as both an associate research scientist and postdoctoral research scientist. Cadhla began a career as a research technician for the Barcoding Life Initiative at The Biodiversity Institute of Ontario and has also worked as a research associate at the University of Guelph. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biology focusing on Infectious Disease Dynamics from The Pennsylvania State University, an MSc in Biology specializing in Ecology & Evolution from The University of Guelph, and a BSc in Zoology from the same institution.
