Kirsten Thompson

Kirsten Thompson is a seasoned microbiologist with over 19 years of expertise in the research and testing of antimicrobial skincare and disinfectant products at Ecolab, where Kirsten serves as Director of Microbiology, Global Quality, after holding the roles of Director Global Research Development and Engineering and Senior Program Leader. Kirsten has contributed significantly to the field, authoring more than 25 articles and textbook chapters, presenting multiple posters on controlling healthcare-associated pathogens, and holding several patents. Prior experience includes working as a microbiologist at Wendt Laboratories and interning at Lifecore Biomedical. Kirsten earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Microbiology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, following earlier studies at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
