Joel Ahofodji

Joel Ahofodji is a seasoned communication professional with extensive experience in various high-level positions. Currently serving as the Head of Communication and Information Division and Principal Programme Officer at the ECOWAS Commission since March 2022, Joel coordinates activities that enhance the visibility of the Commission's initiatives. Previously, roles included Communication Expert for the ROGEAP Project at the Department of Energy and Mines, a Communication Expert at FAO, and Regional Content and Communication Manager for the 50MAWSP Project at the ECOWAS Commission. Joel's career also encompasses significant positions within organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank, focusing on communication strategies, media relations, and visibility. With a Master in Business Administration focusing on Communication and Marketing from Université Catholique de Lille and a Master’s degree in Human and Economic Geography from Université nationale du Bénin, Joel possesses a robust educational foundation to support diverse communication efforts.
