Mike Newell

Mike Newell has been in the IT industry since 1999. Mike began their career as an Applications Systems Administrator at ClubCorp, where they developed, tested, and maintained business processes for financial reporting and inbound/outbound data interfaces via Enterprise scheduler, as well as Unix/Linux system administration. In 2007, Mike moved to Fujitsu as an Implementations Engineer, where they were responsible for Pre and Post sales consultations with customers to analyze performance requirements for hardware and software installs, as well as hardware, OS, and application installs. In 2008, Mike returned to ClubCorp as a Sr. Oracle Applications DBA, where they maintained, cloned, installed, upgraded, and patched Oracle Applications (primarily EBS and AS) and databases, and coordinated and implemented security controls for users of Oracle databases, web apps, and Oracle eBusiness suite. In 2010, Mike joined Spalding Consulting, Inc. as a Sr. Database Administrator, where they were responsible for Oracle and Teradata database administration, including database design, creation, maintenance, backup and recovery, upgrades and patches, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning in support of Naval Logistics IT systems. Finally, in 2012, Mike became a Lead Technical Consultant at EDC Consulting LLC.

Mike Newell attended the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas from 2006 to 2010.
